Fair grounds will be having their regular show consisting of: 80's newer (main class), maybe a mod heat, trucks and compacts. GENERAL: All entrants must be 16 years or older. Any entrant under 18 must have a notarized release signed by parent or guardian. The Seneca County Agricultural Society or any of its members will not be held responsible for injuries or damage of cars, entrant, mechanic, or car owners. Any PROTEST must be done 10 minutes prior to 1st heat.
A protest fee of $100.00 must be made. All winning cars may be re-inspected after feature to confirm car is legal. If you are caught CHEATING you will forfeit any entry fee, money won, or trophy. Derby Officials have the final decision Any American made 1980 or newer hardtop may be used, Drivers must wear a crash helmet with shield or eye protection. Full face helmet is recommended, long pants, long sleeve shirt must be worn. Seat belts are required, shoulder harness is optional. Driver will not extend any part of his/or her body outside of car at any time while heat is running. No profanity painted on cars. Drivers DOOR and PASSENGER door MUST be painted WHITE. All cars MUST have BRAKES before inspection. ALL preceding rules apply for FULLSIZE & COMPACT except where noted.
ENGINE: Engine mounts may be chained or welded, Engine swapping is allowed GM to FORD, FORD to CHRYS etc.
COMPACTS, any year, must have a 4 cylinder. Headers to exit straight up through hood. Distributor protector may be used, but only bolted to motor & trans. NO KICKER to inside cage bar, frame or body.
GAS TANK: All gas tanks must be moved to back seat. They must be SECURELY fasten before inspection. All tanks must be No larger than 5 gallons. And must be covered, Electric fuel pump may be used, must have on & off switch on dash.
DRIVERS COMPARTMENT: May have pipe behind driver’s seat and across dash. NO kickers to floor or firewall .Drivers door only may be reinforced.
TRANSMISSION: Trans cooler may be used must have some type of shield protecting driver in case of cooler rupture. All coolers lines must be covered.
FRAME: MUST BE STOCK, NO plating frame for ANY reason inside or out. No re-welding frame seams anywhere for any reason, mounts must remain in place or replace with like material. Notching or pre-bending frame is allowed. Strap or chain may be used from hump to hump on inside ONLY.CAN NOT GO AROUND AXEL. Compact wheel base is 106" maximum.
SUSPENSION: Must be stock. No welding shocks, no air shocks. No truck rear ends 5 lug only, must be automotive type. Coil springs may be wired or welded only to hold in place. Coil spring CAN NOT be welded solid Coil springs swap is permitted, must have stock appearing and movement. NO LEAF SPRING CONVERSIONS. Front A-arms CAN NOT be solid must have movement.
BUMPERS: May be welded on but not to body. BUMPER SHOCKS must be in place but may be welded.
MUST be factory Style bumper, NO PRE 1980 BUMPERS
TIRES: Any AUTOMOTIVE type tire may be used. MUST have D.O.T. NUMBER & be street legal .No loading tires, No wheel weights, no studded tires. Valve stem protectors may be used. L/T Tires acceptable.
BODY: NO inner body seam welding for any reason. Doors & trunk may be welded but not solid. MAX 12" - 4"
plate or welds. If trunk is welded must have 20" hole for inspection. Trunk is either on or off must be in STOCK
POSITION NO WEDGING OR TUCKING, BODY CAN NOT BE WELDED TO BUMPER.
Hoods may be chained or wired in 4 places must be opened for inspection.
RADIATOR "Must be stock type radiator & remain in original position, NO ANTIFREEZE
REMEMBER...... IF IT DOESN'T SAY IT, DON'T DO IT
DISQUALIFICATIONS - Any INTENTIONAL hitting of drivers door
- Any hot Roding in pits
- Any car leaking gas in arena
- SANDBAGGING: Any suspected sandbagger or teaming we will
STOP the derby, The Car(s) will be marked w/PINK "S"
On the 1st offense, 2nd offense will result in DQ
Due to space limitations in the pit area, only the demo cars and hauler for that car will only be in pits
NO other vehicle will be allowed in the pits!!!
