Sheep to be judged Friday, July 29 at 9:00 a.m.

See notice marked "ATTENTION" concerning entrance procedure during the busy period in early parts of the fair.  Any arrangements for unusual arrival or departure times must be arranged or approved by department superintendent in advance. 

     Judge:  Announced.   

     Registration and health certificates must be presented when animals are brought in and when requested by officials.

     Membership ticket or season ticket for each exhibitor must be shown to superintendent at time of judging.

     All sheep exhibited at the Seneca County Fair must be free from scrapies and other infectious, contagious, or communicable disease.

     Not more than two premiums will be awarded in any class to the same person with or without competition.

     One entry for each breed in group classes per exhibitor.

     ALL SHEEP MUST BE SHOWN IN ORDER TO RECEIVE A PREMIUM.  ALL SHEEP MUST HAVE SCRAPIE TAG.

     No sheep permitted before 6:00 p.m., Sunday, July 24 without permission.  Pen size 6'x 8' ? unless permission from supt.

     Entry fee 10% of first premium.

     Entries in this department positively close July 15 at 5:00 p.m.

     Membership or season tickets must be purchased at time of entry.

      female, 1 male, owned by one exhibitor

MAKE-IT-WITH-WOOL CONTEST

The County Make-It-With-Wool Contest is open to all who sew with wool.  Enter this contest by calling Cindy Scherger at 419-447-9722.

 

 

SENECA COUNTY FAIR WOOL SHOW

Sponsored by the Seneca County Agricultural Society.  Show to be held on open class day, Friday, July 29.

     Fleece Show entry fee - $.50.

     All fleeces are to be shorn since the 2010 fair.

     Fleeces will be identified 1/4, 3/8, fine wool.

     Crossbreds will be in class of predominate breeding.

     Fleeces to be donated to Seneca County Sheep Improvement Association, auctioned off at the fair and the proceeds used for additional incentives for Jr. Fair awards. 

     Fleeces will be on display during the week in the sheep barn. 

     Trophy for champion Fleece donated by the Seneca County Sheep Improvement Association.
