2011
DEPARTMENT 12 - Needlework

Superintendent - Zelda Oakleaf (419) 992-4263

Entries close – July 15, 2011 at 5:00 p.m.

Judge:  JoAnn Lischynski

All exhibitors must have purchased a 2011 Seneca County Fair membership ticket or season ticket.

Exhibits will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 23.  All articles eligible for judging must be at the Arts building within the specified times.  Articles may be removed Sunday, July 31 from 7:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. and on Monday morning, August 1 from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.  Claim tickets will be checked.  All entries must be the work of the exhibitor unless otherwise specified.  All articles must be finished and have a clearly marked entry tag securely attached.  Items should be clean, pressed and ready to display or hang.  Articles should have the class, category and number listed on the entry tag.  The directors reserve the right to change, combine or sub-divide classes as needed.  Articles having once taken a blue ribbon may not compete again.

Judging will be governed by workmanship, design, color coordination and cleanliness of the item.  The back of the needlework, including knots, is included in the workmanship.  A small article having a sufficient amount of work to show skill in execution will receive as much consideration as a larger one.  No premium in an uncontested class category will be awarded if the judge deems the article unworthy.

We do not guarantee the safety of the articles; however, each item will be treated with the utmost care.
